Debloating snacks. If you girls know me, you know I love snacks. Like, I’m pretty sure this is me. ?
Seriously, when people talk about losing weight or getting fit and how they’re hungry as a result, I look at them with horror. That ain’t right!!! It’s also not sustainable because at some point you’re going to get hungry (or hangry) and make a bad choice. Preachin’ to the LSF choir, I know, but you girls know I’m all about a healthy lifestyle and #LiveGuiltless … and that means making good healthy choices. No deprivation! ?
I get a lot of questions about how I eat and what I eat, and aside from all the goodies I share in the HBMP and Guiltless Nutrition Guide, I have another favorite snack I want to share with you. Chia seeds (and other amazing snacks) from Mamma Chia. Oh. My. GAWD. So good and somany ways to love them, too!

It just so happens ? that today is National Chia Day, too! Woot woot for another delicious holiday!!! ? We also happen to be celebrating it in a BIG way over here at LSF + Mamma Chia… but first.
What’s Chia? Why do I It?
These tiny little seeds are packed full of amazing goodness like omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, fiber, iron, and calcium! Those omega-3s help raise the “good” cholesterol that helps protect against heart attack and stroke. They even have a full 5.6 grams of protein in each 1-oz serving! Sign me up! ?
Another reason to hop aboard the chia train? Chia’s been shown to support a healthy complexion, increased energy, and overall lower weight. Perfect snack much!? YUP!
Why Mamma Chia?
You girls know that I only get behind a brand that I really, truly love. I have to adore their product to recommend it, and part of that is connecting with their brand. When I first heard the story behind Mamma Chia’s founder and CEO, Janie Hoffman, I knew I’d found the brand for me. She and I share so many commonalities in why we started our health journeys and ultimately our health-focused business ventures. Janie had suffered for decades with massive autoimmune issues and when she switched to an organic diet and introduced chia into her life — she went into remission! Seriously, that gives me CHILLS. I can so relate!

Janie realized what I realized after all my years of yo-yo dieting… Food is medicine! Because of her own experience with wellness from an organic diet, Janie had her big a-ha moment and realized it was her mission in life to share the “magic” of chia. And so, her organic chia company, Mamma Chia, was born!
I love, love, love knowing the “Behind the Music” (haha, remember that show?!) for how a brand I love came to be, and Janie’s story really resonates with me — makes me love Mamma Chia even more!
My Best Ways to Chia
So, I obviously love regular chia seeds, but my latest love affair has been Mamma Chia’s granola clusters. It adds the perfect little sweet crunch to greek yogurt. I love having a little greek yogurt bark topped with it and fresh bluberries for a healthy version of dessert after dinner. Yummm…

Why I Chia
Aside from all of the obvious reasons to love chia (scroll up ?), I have personally found so many commonalities with Janie’s story and how chia helped her health. Chia is super helpful for me with all of my digestive issues and I will take any help I can get in that department!

Ingredients:
Blueberry Crunch Yogurt Bark
1 cup 0% fat plain Greek Yogurt
1 tsp Monkfruit
1 cup Mamma Chia Granola Clusters
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
Blue Magic Chia Pudding
1/2 cup Mamma Chia chia seeds
1 1/2 tbs vanilla extract
1 tsp Blue Majik
2 cups almond milk (or filtered water)
Monkfruit to tase
Chia Jam
2 cups raspberries
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1½ – 2 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. Mamma Chia chia seeda
Directions:
Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper. In bowl, mix yogurt and monkfruit. Use a spoon or spatula to spread the yogurt mixture across pepper in a thin layer. Sprinkle the granola clusters and blueberries across top and place in freezer for at least 2 hours. When you’re ready to eat, break into pieces like bark and enjoy.

Blend all except the chia seeds, pour into a large mason jar or bowl, then stir in chia seeds. Let the pudding sit overnight in the refrigerator to thicken, stir periodically. Layer with greek yogurt.

Heat rasberries, lemon, and honey over medium heat.
Stir and smash the berries up into a jam consistency! Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in the chia seeds. Let cool, then store in jar until ready to enjoy!

WOW, the Blueberry Crunch Yogurt Bark looks sooo delicious! The creaminess of the yogurt and crunch from granola sound heavenly for a healthy snack. Going to try this one first, but can’t wait to make all of these. Thank you for sharing these simple recipes!

I can’t wait to try the chia jam? and both the other recipes!
Just ordered the white chia seeds, can’t wait to try them all!!!
I must say that the Blueberry Crunch Yogurt Bark looks absolutely fantastic! I think it would be a very good introduction to chia for me – right now, I’ve really only ever seen it in pudding and it reminds me too much of bubble tea, which I’m not the biggest fan of.
I want to try them all, but I’m DEFINITELY about that blueberry crunch yogurt bark!
I want to try the jam! Maybe I’ll try strawberries since I have those in my fridge currently
YUM! The Chia Jam looks delicious and so simple! I can’t wait to make it and put it on my Ezekiel toast!

Going to try the Blueberry Crunch Yogurt Bark – looks yummy.
Well I obviously want to try all of the recipes. The one that I think I would be able to make the soonest would be the jam. I think my fiancé would really love it too. Maybe drizzle a bit of peanut butter over it and have a little open faced PBJ on some toast. YUM!!
Please keep sharing your favorite new recipes and things you eat on a daily basis. Love to see it and it keeps the motivation going and creative juices flowing. 🙂

I am going to try the Blue Magic Pudding first! That looks so intriguing and delicious I have to know what it tastes like! I will also have to try the yummy looking bark and some of the berry good jam! Thanks for sharing the story and recipes!
These all sound amazing. I just recently ordered the nutrition guide, which has been fantastic. For the last 7 months, I have been living in China and the hardest thing about the move has been the food. It is really, really hard to eat clean in China. I’ve never felt so disheartened by the effects of what I put in my body. So– it is time to get back to my old, clean eating self (to the very best of my abilities). I love chia seeds and was just recently able to actually access them here! That blueberry bark looks… Read more »
Also…. my insta is Mehweesah 🙂
I want to make the chia jam. Mostly to include it in my toddler’s beloved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I usually use Trader Joe’s fruit spread, but using chia jelly is a great idea to add some extra nutrients into my son’s diet!! I’d also like to mix it in Greek yogurt for a snack (for both of us).
Totally going to try the raspberry jam!
