For real, guys, self-care is soooo important. And I know it’s a trendy topic right now, but that’s just all the more reason to jump on it! Plus, practicing self-care can be huge in helping you achieve your weight loss goals.

Don’t believe me? Let’s talk about burnout. You know when you have a big project at school or work and then need to take a ten-year nap after? Or when you kill a super big workout and your muscles are jelly? That’s your body telling you to slow it down, sister. If you ignore it, you can push yourself past the brink.

Daily Self Care > Vacation

Enter self-care. It’s the equivalent of taking a Hawaiian vacation after a major presentation or doing some relaxing stretching post-workout. Think of it like pressing pause on your life so you can relax and refresh. When you hit play again, you’re ready to hit the ground running and slay your #goals!

Practicing self-care on the reg keeps you fresh and motivated to stick with your weight loss goals. When you’re rested it makes it easier to skip the donuts going around your office or to squeeze in that morning workout even when you want to hit snooze. When you’re feeling good, it’s easier to make good choices!

Self-care looks different for everyone. Maybe it’s reading a book at the beach. Or taking a super long bubble bath. It could be just making space in your day for yoga. It’s whatever makes you feel good! But whatever type of self-care works for you, the important part is doing it.
