Propel Co:Labs. Let's Get Ugly
Last week I flew off to NYC to spend a few days getting sweaty, gritty and super "ugly." I was meeting up with a bunch of fitness babes to kick off the Propel "Let's Get Ugly" campaign and summer co:labs. The bun is back on the run!#bunontherun
The Propel Co:Labs areFREE fitness and music events that will be happening across the U.S. from now until August.
"Let's Get Ugly" is aboutdigging deep. It's those moments you might not feel put together, your hair is a mess, your beet red, dripping sweat and feel like you can barley stand, but you keep going strong! Sometime you've got to get a little ugly to get the job done right?

It was a jam-packed 24hrs. One photoshoot, 4 workouts, delish food and a boozy popsicle on a roof with the most incredible views. When you have limited time in New York, you make the most of it!
We started at 9am with hair and makeup. I'm pretty good at doing my own make-up, but it's fun to let someone else do it for shoots like these.
Plus I get new ideas for looks I want to try. I'll do a make-up routine for you guys on youtube soon so I can share all my go-to products and such.
Whitney and I randomly got paired together for the photoshoot which was amazing! One, she's one of my besties, and two, we totally matched unintentionally. It ended up making for perfect pictures!
They had different workout stations set up and we got real sweaty running around trying different exercises. Definitely not your typical "stand and look good fitness modeling."
Whit and I got down, dirty and ugly trying new epic moves on these monkey bars. They literally had to ask us to move on to the next station like 5 times… we were having WAY too much fun!
After the shoot it was time for theREAL workout. We started with a class called The Class . Holy wow….It's a mix of HIIT, dance, stretching and yelling. Yep, yelling.
When you feel like you're about to collapse after 50 burpees, they encourage you to "yell it out." Kinda awkward at first for sure, but also an amazing release. I'm more of a "punch a bag" kinda girl, but this definitely made you just let it all go.
The Class ended with a musical sound bath which was like heaven. I had no idea what was going on until I watched the video footage after. So crazy! Think serious meditation/ savasana with gentle singing and a giant horn.
Having just finished an intense workout, and knowing we had 2 more to go, boozy rooftop popsicles might not have been the obvious choice. But we had to make the most of our time right?!?haha #balance
Plus, look at this view from the Loopy Doopy!
Then it was back to the studio for a workout mash-up with Prevail Boxing & Yoga For Bad People .
We got our hands wrapped for boxing (so legit) and ran through serious training circuits.
The class was high intensity cardio mixed with punching and sparing. My sparing could use some practice, but I felt really tough and it was a crazy intense workout .
After boxing we hit the mats with Yoga For Bad People. Their yoga style is playful, but still gives you a killer workout and full body stretch. Pretty much the perfect way to end a day of sweatin'.
At the end of the last workout the Propel team had a major surprise! Jessie J!!! She wrote the "Let's Get Ugly" theme song for the campaign and we go to meet her and take pics! She is seriously such a babe!
The PropelCo:Labs this summer will be in Miami, Denver, NY, Chicago andLA . I'll be hosting the LA event and of course keep you girls posted on the dates and how to sign-up.
The final event will be a Fitness Music Festival in LA…match made in heaven, am I right? I'll be there as well and can't wait to see all of #teamlsf representing!
The Co:Labs are all about bringing together top trainers and people who love fitness to experience new workouts , fun music and just have a good time getting their sweat on.
*This post was sponsored by Propel but all opinions are my own. Propel Water is the only water on the market with enough electrolytes to put back what you lose in sweat.
