Hey you, new around here?

Starting a fitness journey can be HARD, and a little scary! But it doesn’t have to be. If this is your first time on the workout game, there are a few key things to know to help you feel amazing every step of the way.

So…we’re just a few days away from the start of our biggest challenge EVER and we’re so happy you’re doing it with us! Team LSF is so here for you. We want to make sure you’re set up and ready to go with everything you’ll need to crush the Summer Shape Up.

Step 1: Download your SSU Sweat Starter, and read it!

It’s so full of amazing tips and healthy recipes,  staying on track is going to be real easy. The best thing you can do is plan ahead, and the Sweat Starter was created to help you get everything you want out of the Summer Shape Up challenge. You can totally do this!

Workout clothes you feel cute in. Katie’s fave is a good pair of leggings & a tied up tank.

A good sports bra is key! Katie’s faves are these from VS Sport!

Keep a water bottle on hand so you get plenty of H2O. You’ve gotta stay hydrated, girl!

Equipment (ish). There are so many equipment-free workouts that are going to get that booty working, but if you want to level up… grab a yoga mat, bootie bands and a light set of dumbbells

Step 3: Plan for it

Follow the SSU Weekly Workout Schedule – you’ll get your first one on Sunday, July 8th in your inbox if you’re signed up, but Katie puts them up on the blog too!

Fuel Your body with healthy carbs 1 hour before your workout& get a lean protein within 1 hour after your workout. Try to cut back on sugar too. We know this might feel like a lot, but your workouts will feel SOOOO much better!

Grab a copy of the Hot Body Sweat Guide. It’s v helpful on your health & fitness journey. There’s 8 weeks of daily workouts so you don’t have to wonder what to workout, how, or when! Step 4: Get support

Listen to your body! That means if something is too tough, do what you can. Be consistent. And Know you will get stronger every day!
