Self care at home. How are you liking this month of love?

I know V Day puts such a big emphasis on romantic relationships, but I'm really hoping that you're using all the love in the air to focus on yourself, babe! I mean, if you're doing the Lots of Love challengewith us, you def are. (Are you loving the Self Love Workbook??) But even if you're not — or you're starting the challenge late — I want to encourage you to use these last few days of February to shower yourself with goodness. You deserve it!

And, sure, sometimes self-care looks like a shopping spree or a vacation. But it doesn't have to cost you a bunch of money. In fact, some of my favorite ways to refresh and recharge are free and easy to do at home!

Here are four ways you can treat yourself right with some at-home self-care!

#1: Schedule a spa day

There's nothing like a day at the spa to make you say,"Aaaaaah."But it can leave your wallet saying,"Nooo."Instead of shelling out for a massage or a mani/pedi, I like to treat myself at home. A quick Target run is all you need to stock up on the essentials:

  • Face mask
  • Bubble bath
  • Nail polish
  • Soothing-scented candle
  • Healthy snacks

Now, turn on some relaxing music. Pro tip: Open Spotify, click "Browse," and scroll through the "Genres & Moods" until you see the "Wellness" category. There are atonof great soothing soundtracks here, perfect for setting the mood in your at-home spa.

Draw yourself a hot bubble bath, light your candle, and get ready to relax, girl.

#2: Get in a good sweat sesh

I think it's a little too common to equate self-care with sitting around. And, def, sometimes self-care does look like just chilling out. But it doesn't have to! Getting moving doessuchamazing things for your mental and physical health, so don't forget it when you're thinking about ways to make yourself feel great.

Obvi, we have a toooon of great workouts ready for you in the LSF app.But you don't have to follow a set workout, either. Move your body in a way that works up a sweat and you'll get the benefits of a rush of endorphins and a healthy glow!

#3: Take a (mental) vacation

Instead of booking a pricey plane ticket to a far off destination, why not let a book or TV show guide your imagination to new locations? Put on your comfiest PJs, brew a cup of tea, and get cozy on the couch or in bed. Then, dive into a great book or TV show.

There are a ton of great Netflix shows that are super uplifting and give you a chance to learn about new places and cultures! If you're interested in Japan, welove "Queer Eye: We're in Japan!"It's super upbeat and inspiring. But if you're looking for something more mellow, check out Terrace House(there are a bunch of different seasons in different locations across Japan). This show pairs six people — three guys and three girls — in a stunning house. But unlike American reality TV and all of its associated drama, this show is all about encouraging people to find their passions and chase their dreams. There are some cute dates, too!

For other feel-good Netflix shows we're loving, check out "The Great British Baking Show"and the newly-released, super-cool nature doc, "Night on Earth."

#4: Have a date with yourself

Who says you need a partner or a restaurant to have a great date? It's time to treat yourself right in the comfort of your own home, babe! Whip up your favorite recipe or try something new. We've got a ton of healthy optionsyou can check out!

Set your table super cute, get a little dressed up, queue up your fave playlist, light some candles, and enjoy a date with the person who knows you best: you!

See? Self-care doesn't have to cost a pretty penny. I hope you have a ton of fun using these comfy, easy self-love ideas, girl!
