“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
What better time to focus on change and growth than during this sugar detox challenge? If you want to see change in your life, you have to really commit to it. To “be” that change. You can’t just sign up for an email list and buy healthy food. You have to believe in it completely.
Weirdly, while I was researching this quote, I read this crazy story about Gandhi and SUGAR DETOXING of all things! Craziest coincidence ever, right? There is a story about a mother bringing her son to Gandhi, hoping he would would convince her son to cut back on sweets. He told her to come back in two weeks. When she returned with her son, he finally did what she had originally wanted: he told her son to kick sugar. The mother was like…”um why didn’t you just say that the first time?” Gandhi said (basically), “Because I was obsessed with sugar two weeks ago, too, and needed that time to cut back,” meaning that he wanted to truly practice what he was preaching.
Again…can we all just recognize this INSANE coincidence! Gandhi did a two week sugar detox…we’re doing a two week sugar detox…the phone wallpapers are a Gandhi quote. Amazing. But this hit me because it’s SO true. I want to be on board with every single lifestyle change I tell you guys about, and I want YOU guys to be your healthiest selves so you can help other people do the same thing.
