morning routine.It’s finally Spring, which means summer is almost here and we can get into full prep mode!
Motivating yourself for the changes of the season can always be a liiiittle bit tricky, but this transition is by far my fav. That’s why I’ve put together some helpful tips to help you make the switch from blah to beach with my healthy spring morning routine!
Get Outside Every Day!
Your body has probably gotten used to hunkering down under cozy blankets, but our bodies crave the sun, so now it’s time to start getting that Vitamin D again, sister! You might feel sluggish or weighed down in the afternoon, but a 30 minute walk or some time lounging in the backyard is often times just what you need. Plus, a little tan heading into the summer months is a perfect bonus!
Permission To Start Shopping!
If you live anywhere that isn’t 70 degrees literally every day of the year, you probably have some wardrobe changes to make! Get shopping for some cute bikinis to show off all of the hard work you’ve been putting in! Shopping for summer wear will also help change your mindset, and imagining yourself wearing that cute new suit can also give you the motivation you need to get off the couch and onto your mat every day!
Start Adding Fruit To Your Water!
Something as simple as slicing up fresh strawberries, cucumber, lemon, or berries and adding it to your water can make you feel like you’re at the spa. Not only does it add a totally Spring-y vibe to your daily water intake, but it’s also good for you!
And make sure you keep your water bottle with you all day ‘ery day girl!
Spruce Up Your Diet!
We’re human too, so we know that often times the winter months come with comfort eating. And despite how hard you’ve fought it, most likely you’ve given into a muffin or breve latte every once in awhile – we’ve all been there! But now it’s time to revamp your diet and replenish your gut! Think Marie Kondo. If it’s not sparking joy, it’s out! This one isn’t quiiite as fun as sunbathing or bikini shopping, but it will make a huge difference in how you feel! The term “Spring Cleaning” is sooo cliche, but hey – it works! Dedicate a day to dusting out the corners of your space, giving everything a deep clean, diffuse some sweet essential oils, and redecorate your space to make your home feel bright and fresh! You’d be surprised at how much it will affect the way you feel from the time you wake up to the moment your head hits the pillow!
