Glutes 101

Gluteus Maximus: This is the largest muscle and not just in your butt....it's the largest in your entire body! It works when you raise your leg to the side, rotate, and extend or thrust your hips forward.

Gluteus Medius: Supports leg abduction and inward rotation.

Gluteus Minimus: The smallest of the group. It's located right under the gluteus medius. Just like the Gluteus Medius, it abducts and rotates your leg inward.
