Perfect Pumpkin Cozy Mask

Maybe the only downside of Fall is your skin starts to get dry. Not fun. BUT not anymore!!

This pumpkin mask is SOOO good (and hydrating!) you'll want to eat it. Repeat as many times as you want to! Self care FTW.

What you'll need:

  • 1 small slice of pumpkin
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of organic honey
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • A few drops of apple-cider vinegar or lemon juice

Start with a reeeal fresh pumpkin and puree it in food processor. (canned will do if need be)

Whisk a half cup of your freshly made puree together with egg, honey, and vinegar or lemon juice. Apply to clean skin. Spread it all over your face, neck, and chest. Relax for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse off. Hydrated, dewy skin is the result. Byeeee dry skin!!

What are the deets on the ingredients?

Pumpkin: pumpkin is packed with vitamin A and vitamin C to kick up the collagen levels in your skin, and help smooth and soothe. The enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids also promote increased cell turnover. Just more reasons to love us some pumpkin!

Egg: adding egg into your mask gives you fatty acids, which will moisturize your skin. The egg whites contain protein that help to remove oils, and tighten up your pores. Yes please!!

Honey: honey also gives you a powerful boost of moisture. The antioxidants will help to fight against those aging free-radicals, and the antibacterial properties give you some aid in the fight against acne. Heyyyy, clear skin!!

Nutmeg: Nutmeg has long been thought to help reduce skin pigmentation. It also gives you some help getting rid of oils, and acts as a natural exfoliant.

Apple cider vinegar or lemon: both of these power ingredients have antimicrobial properties, which means they can battle breakouts. Lemon has also been shown to brighten the skin. Glow, girl.
