You’ve Got To Crawl Before You Can Walk & Walk Before You Can Run. We all start somewhere and this week we are starting together with a Bear Crawl Challenge!

One of the BIGGEST MISTAKES you can make when starting a new fitness routine is forgetting where you’re at, right now – in this moment. One of two things usually happens:

  • You have expectations of what you think you should be able to do based on what you once did. You get so pumped on making a change that you dive in. You go all out, pushing yourself harder than you could have imagined. Sounds great, but that only lasts about two weeks. You hit a wall, have major burn out and give up. Not so great.
  • You have doubts about what you can do because of past failures. You let those old memories cloud your mind and hold you back. You either underestimate what you can do or you don’t even start for fear of failure.

Don’t complicate it. Just start moving! Be present and honest with yourself about where you are at, set small goals and then crush them!

HOW TO BEAR CRAWL

  1. Come onto all fours, table-top position.
  2. Press your palms firmly into the ground, tuck your toes and hover your knees.
  3. Move your left hand and right foot forward at the same time.
  4. Then move your right hand and left foot forward together.
  5. Continue moving forward and challenge your self to move backwards. Try to keep your back straight and core engaged. It’s a fun & challenging move!
