Travel snacks. No one likes a hangry friend….

Whether you’re hanging at the beach, road trippin’ or flying around the world, bringing healthy snacks is the KEY to keeping you feeling good during your trip and post-vacation. There are a lot of choices out there to grab on the go, most of them super unhealthy, but these are the best travel snacks so you can pack up and feel confident all summer long. Believe me… everyone on your trip will appreciate it too!

http://orchardvalleyharvest.com/

The goal is to get some healthy fats and proteins in your system that will eliminate the urge to grab chips, candy bars and other not so pleasant snacks. Otherwise, your blood sugar can start to spike, with most snacks offering little to no nutritional value.

Nuts to You!

I have nuts with me at all times. I’ve literally brought extra carryon luggage just to hold snacks when I travel! They’re in my car, purse, gym and beach bags ALWAYS!

Orchard Valley, best snacks to travel with, top healthy snacks, best healthy snacks to travel, how to pack snacks to travel, meal plan, healthy snacks,

Last fall I told you guys about the Orchard Valley Harvest Omega-3 Wellness Mixes and I just tried their Cranberry Almond Cashew trail mix this week. Those are literally my two favorite nuts and who doesn’t like cranberries?

Orchard Valley, best snacks to travel with, top healthy snacks, best healthy snacks to travel, how to pack snacks to travel, meal plan, healthy snacks,

The mix of almonds and cashews is a great source of HEALTHY fat, protein, fiber and magnesium (good for sore muscles!). Why are they the best snack to travel with? They come in perfectly portioned little pouches so you can take it on the go without over doing it. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

Ah Balls…

Besides nuts, when I travel I always pack up some homemade protein balls. They’re easy to make and are a perfect snack to give you a little boost of energy on the go. They’re like little balls of heaven, super sweet and basically a dessert.

vegan brownie protein balls, Orchard Valley, best snacks to travel with, top healthy snacks, best healthy snacks to travel, how to pack snacks to travel, meal plan, healthy snacks,

There are a million different ways to make them and I have several recipes here and on YouTube. *Super important to note: If you’re taking them on the road, don’t soak your dates. They will last longer with dry dates in an airtight container or bag.

Gobble Gobble

Turkey Jerky is another amazing travel snack. Since it’s dried it will last for weeks in your bag. It’s a great snack when you are trying to keep it lean because turkey jerky is packed with protein, plus a healthy amount of fat and carbs. Make sure you read the labels though! Not all jerky is created equal! Look for brands with low sodium and sugar to keep it nice and healthy.

https://www.youtube.com/user/LoveSweatFitness/videos

These three snacks together and you can’t go wrong while on the road. Especially since Orchard Valley Harvest has tons of different mixes, it gives you a good variety to always switch up your snack game. Since I love them so much, I have a special giveaway for Team LSF!

GIVEAWAY!!!

I partnered with Orchard Valley Harvest to give one of you girls a $50 visa cash card and get hooked up with some of their on the go wellness mixes! All you have to do is comment below with one thing that will help you stay on track & healthy this summer! My key to staying on track is the Hot Body Sweat Guide and Meal Plan. What’s yours?

I purchased the hot body sweat guide a few weeks ago, and I got the meal plan companion last night; I feel like those will keep me on track this summer! Oh and the new LSF pineapple leggings will be a good motivation. Who doesn’t get motivated by cute workout clothes? 🙂

It is too easy for me to give in to temptations. This summer to stay on track I’m going to communicate my goals with those around me so they will support me when I don’t want junk food in the house or go out for drinks and food after work.

My plan to stay healthy and on track this summer is to plan out my workouts, meals and obviously me time (gotta keep that me-time as a priority too?). I’ll also follow your workouts on YouTube!!

My key is not buying junk food – I am not someone who has a strong sense of self-discipline, so if I can keep the junk food out, I’m less likely to eat junk food 🙂

With all the summer barbecues and pool parties coming up I plan to stay on track by bringing a healthy dish with me to make sure I have NO excuses to fill up on unhealthy stuff. I brought a big salad with different dressings on the side to a memorial day barbecue and a few ladies were so thankful there was a yummy healthy addition!

I’ll stay on track this summer by having a plan. Having a plan starts with grocery shopping for the right ingredients, meal prepping for every meal and snack, and mentally preparing for unplannable things, like random BBQs and going out to eat. I can still stick to my plan to the best of my ability by suggesting restaurants with healthy options and picking only clean food at a family event.

The one thing that has kept me on my plan thus far is the hot body meal plan, I love that I can pull it up on my phone when we are traveling or when I’m out and about, so I can stick to the guide as much as possible! I can’t wait to see what recipes and guidance the guiltless nutrition guide and recipe book will have, but I know it will be delish! If anyone doesn’t have it try Katie’s YouTube &obligation recipes and you will see they are tasty which is why I like the Hot Body… Read more »

For me it’s water water water! It’s so key to me staying healthy. If I don’t remind myself to drink water I could go all day without anything. But then I eat like a psychopath because I’m trying to satisfy my THIRST! For me to make healthy food decisions I have to be hydrated!

One thing that’ll help me stay on track is taking snacks with me wherever I go. I’m always getting hungry when I’m out and it’s so convenient to stop at a fast food place but I always feel sick after I eat it.

It is SUPER hard to stay on track while traveling, but these are great tips! I find that having a trip or two to look forward to (particularly ones that involve a bikini or two) help keep me really motivated! I also love finding positive and motivational people to follow on social media. Awesome giveaway!!

I will stay on track this summer by never going three days in a row without working out. I will not feel guilty when I indulge a little bit – I will get right back on track with my workouts and healthy eating. I will do a lot of outdoor activities (tennis, hiking, running etc.). I also just joined a volleyball team for the first time in four years so that’ll keep me active for sure ☺️

The hot body sweat guide will help keep me on track this summer. I was on vacation all last week and while my eating wasn’t great, it wasn’t as bad as normal for a vacation. I was also able to keep up with 4 days of the workouts in our beach condo which made it super easy. Thanks Katie!

In Australia it is going into winter but lucky for me I live in the most tropical part of the country so it’s never cold. I am new to all of this and I am planning on starting my LSF JOURNEY today by staying hydrated and swapping bad snacking habits for healthier ones-ie having an apple instead of biscuits for my afternoon tea. Thanks for the ideas.

I just bought a fitness and nutrition planner that keeps me accountable and on track to meet my goals this summer as well as attaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. I also stock my fridge with plenty of fresh veggies, fruits, and healthy carbs/fats. With the beautiful summer weather approaching I love grabbing my headphones and walking/running outdoors. Then, I come inside and tone up by working out to your Lovesweatfitness YouTube videos. ????? #strongissexy
