Pineapple Infused Vodka
It’s International Piña Colada Day! I actually hate real piña coladas, but wanted to celebrate in a healthier #LSFapproved kinda way with this Pineapple Infused Vodka.
If you are following the Hot Body Meal Plan the intention is to go without alcohol during those initial weeks. That said, life happens. If you’re going have a drink, it’s important to make sure they are the “healthy” cocktails.
The key is to use clear liquors like vodka or tequila and avoid all added sugars and syrups. If you’re looking for a fun way to add some delish flavor without adding tons of calories, infusing it is the way to go.
My mom got me this pineapple de-corer and it was a GAME CHANGER!!! Seriously… I had no idea how easier cutting a pineapple could be. I normally spend 15minutes slowly trying to cut away the rough sides and get into the goods. I will never go back!
You can do this with any fruit, but obviously pineapples are my jam so here it is.
How to make Pineapple Infused Vodka
- Once you de-core your pineapple, place it in a Mason jar.
- Pour vokda of your choice over the fruit to fill the jar.
- Seal tight with a lid and store in the refrigerator for 7 days.
- Strain the vodka and remove pineapple.
♥Enjoy over ice with some soda or mineral water!
♥Keep strained vodka in refrigerator or freezer until used.
