I have you covered with a new take on an old fave.

Also, can you even believe that two months from now, we’ll be ringing in 2018?! I can’t. With every New Year comes a new food trend, and one thing you’re sure to see ALL over in 2018 is cauliflower.

It has started to become a buzzword already (you’ve definitely heard of cauliflower rice by now, right? If not, here’s one way I love to prepare it. YUM!) but it’s going to be another level. This time, in a smoothie.

I know, I know. Cauliflower in a smoothie sounds super weird, right? But we all throw spinach in our smoothies without a second thought but I’m sure it sounded crazy the first time, too! So, just go with me here.

I use frozen cauliflower in my smoothies all the time. It makes them creamy without the added carbs and sugar of a banana. And sure, bananas are healthy, but if you’re trying to watch those calories and that sugar, cauliflower is a perfect, healthier alternative!

Check this out-

1 cup of cauliflower has only about 27 calories, 5 g carbs, 2 g sugar, and 2.1 g protein compared to 1 medium banana which will run you about 105 calories, 27 g carbs, 14 g sugar, and only 1.3 g protein. Let’s all get on board here- cauliflower for the win! (And trust me, once you try it, you’ll be a total convert.)

Okay, so how to love this soon-to-be trend? I’ve got you covered with my go-to #LSFapproved recipe!
